TEXT:

No more, no more cancer
No more, no more cancer, no-no-no!

They look okay but are mutated
They found their way to stay related
to the place they grow and spread and settle
to start a scary, harmful battle.

Exponential growth is very fast
Nobody knows how long it will last
They replicate up to a vast
critical size. The die is cast.

2 millimeters sounds quite small,
these zombies, however, cluster together,
to spread their own wall
and stay there forever.

This critical size explains why
they organize routes to receive supply.
The ones in the center need to breathe, too.
Or they migrate on routes that go through.

Beating cancer is our goal!
Nano-science contributes its role.
Working together, science is stronger!
Cancer won't dominate mankind any longer!

After leaving the walls the enemy fights,
each individual member insists on its rights.
T-killers are stronger, most of them die,
Within 24 hours, only a few stay alive.

Now, cruising around is one of their passions!
To remain unseen, they're adapting their fashion.
Upon a time, they look out for a place
to start over again, and this is disgrace!

This new generation has probably spread,
to various places that will have lead
to the worst disease a human can suffer
but fuck you cancer, mankind is tougher!

Fuck you cancer, mankind is tougher!
Fuck you cancer, we are rougher!
Fuck you cancer, science is tougher!
Fuck you cancer, suffer!
Fuck you cancer, suffer!
Fuck you cancer, suffer!

We're taking the challenge, this is all we can do!
The options we have, are all fairly new.
Nano-science is one of the weapons
we have against cancer, we'll see what happens:

The goal is catching these cells, which flow in the blood
and hide behind the others, like a frog in the mud.
One of a million, this ratio is tricky,
CTCs are are so rare, this is the pity.

Circulating tumor cells, this is their name,
they cause cancer to spread, this is their blame.
Counting, extracting, these are the tasks,
for nano-science, this is the answer - for the question - you ask!

Antibodies are printed on a rectangular chip,
which gets a cap out of plastic: microfluidic!
This chamber's ceiling is quite unique
as a pumped fluid gets mixed with this technique.

This microfluidic chip becomes the clinical tool
that will be used by doctors to understand the rule
of the primary tumor with its CTCs.
That potentially invade lungs and kidneys.

The patient gives blood to check the number
of CTCs per mill by using this chamber.
Cells that are healthy do not interact
with the surface pattern as they are not tagged.

But CTCs are tagged with an anchor that matches
to the surface pattern that literally catches
CTCs from blood. Hence, the goal is attain:
the good ones gone through, the bad guys remain.

Checking the number of cells in the chamber
The physician concludes how the chemo is rendered.
Further data is obtained from their genes:
the physician will tell you what this info means.

Beating cancer is our goal!
Nano-science contributes its role.
Working together, science is stronger!
Cancer won't dominate mankind no longer!

Fuck you cancer, mankind is tougher!
Fuck you cancer, we are rougher!
Fuck you cancer, science is tougher!
Fuck you cancer, suffer!
Fuck you cancer, suffer!
Fuck you cancer, suffer!
